Dear Pat, How can changing what I think change my life?

Dear Pat,
How can changing what I think, change my life? Signed, Wondering

Dear Wondering,

Thoughts are energy and what you believe will come back to you. For example, if you believe that people hate you, you act like they hate you and don't let them get close. You create the experience of being hated. If you change what you think to even the possibility that people like you, you feel better about yourself and take a chance on others. They in turn can connect with you in a better way and let you know they like you, or at the very least, let you know you are not hated, as you first believed.

This takes an effort on your part to change your belief. If you don't feel strongly about the new belief, "fake it till you make it." Take a chance and change the belief. As the results change and you see yourself being treated differently, it will become easier to change your belief the next time.

Dear Pat, Some days it's all I can do to keep going...

Dear Pat,
Some days it's all I can do to keep going. I don't want to get up in the morning and it seems like going down a long, dark hallway just getting through the day. I feel listless and alone. What can I do? Signed, Lost

Dear Lost,

There are several things that are available to you. There are certified counselors that are only a phone call away. There are doctors who can help. Spiritual help is available through your local churches. Energy workers such as Reiki, Acupuncture, Acupressure, and other modalities are available to help move the blocked and stagnant energy that can create these symptoms. My program LIGHT can help you find and identify the source.

See what feels right for you and make a choice to get help. Make an attempt to find the cause of the symptoms so you can reverse them and create health and wellness for yourself. Choosing one or perhaps a combination of choices may be of help.

Dear Pat, I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired

Dear Pat,
I have a problem that I've seen a doctor for many times. The problem is that it keeps coming back. I do what the doctor says and it gets better. Then it comes back again. What am I missing? Signed, Sick and tired of being sick and tired

Dear Sick

You are obviously treating the symptom and not the source. When something recurs like this, you have not gotten rid of the cause. There are several ways to do this. One of them is my program called LIGHT, which helps you to find the source, which is causing the symptoms. From there you can choose to let it go.

See if you can figure out what you are doing when it recurs. Are there any common triggers? Be an investigator of your own symptoms. Observe the common clues and see if you can eliminate the cause.

Dear Pat, Can some people really see the dead?

Dear Pat,
There is a lot of talk recently about people who can see people that have died. Is this just a lot of bunk, or is this real? Signed, Skeptical

Dear Skeptical,

From my perspective, it is real. We are more than just a body. We are spiritual in nature and the energy of that spirit continues when we leave this realm. It is no different than speaking to you or me. Some people have a natural gift of communicating with those who have left.

Unfortunately, there are some charlatans who use it to get money from people who truly want answers. This has hurt the reputation of honest practitioners with a true gift. Use your heart as a guide to see if it feels right for you.

Dear Pat, How do you reconcile being a nurse & working with energy?

Dear Pat,
You are a nurse and yet you work with energy. How do you reconcile the two? For example, there are holistic herbs and treatments and Western medical treatments. Which is right? Signed, Medical Questioner

Dear Questioner,

It is sometimes difficult to reconcile the two. In our society we are taught to treat a symptom and the source is not always given a thought. This is changing and more and more medical facilities are incorporating a holistic (whole-istic) approach.

To answer which is correct, they both are. Each of them has a place in medicine. Some people prefer to treat themselves with herbal remedies or time-tested methods our grandparents used. If these are not working however, I would suggest it is time to seek medical help. It is often in combination that things are treated.

Always make sure your medical professional is aware of any herbal or other remedy you are using so they will not interfere with each other. Many herbal remedies will work against, or greatly enhance a medication that may be prescribed, making it too potent.

Energy treatments such as Reiki, Acupressure, and many others are also highly recommended to move the energy that is blocked in the body. This can be used as an adjunct to medical treatment or by itself. As with the herbal treatments, if it is not working, seek medical help.
